Trinity University, an independent, primarily undergraduate, liberal arts and sciences university, is ranked as one of the top regional universities in the western U.S.  It was recognized by the Princeton Review as one of  "The Best 261 Colleges" in 2006.  The engineering college is exceptional and one of the best in the nation.  Guest lecturers at Trinity University have included former president George H. Bush, Margaret Thatcher, Colin Powell,  Tom Brokaw, and numerous others.  Notable buildings on campus are Murchison Tower (one of the highest points in San Antonio), Laurie Auditorium, Elizabeth Huth Coates Library, Jim and Janet Dicke Art Building, Campbell and Eloise Smith Music Building, Ruth Taylor Recital Hall, Margarite B. Parker Chapel, and the Trinity Bell Center.

Trinity University is home of the Trinity Tigers sports teams which include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, track & field, tennis, and volleyball.  Trinity is a member of the NCAA Division III Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
