Buckhorn Saloon & MuseumBuckhorn Saloon & Museum Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum reveals Texas history dating back to the last half of the 19th century. Aside from the somewhat expected but nonetheless astonishing collection of Texan and cowboy memorabilia, the two-story building's contents also include exhibits as varied as fish from the Seven Seas to a two-headed calf and a lamb with eight legs. The world's only wax museum to document Texas history is housed here, as are amusements such as a shooting gallery and arcade. It's fun bellying up to the bar at the saloon-turned cafe where it is rumored that Pancho Villa planned the Mexican Revolution. The Curio Store - aptly called "The Worlds Oddest Store" is a great place to pick up souvenirs. The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum is located two blocks from the Alamo and 50 feet from the River Walk.
